Family fun at an affordable price can be more challenging during the summer, when schools are closed and kids need to be entertained. It can make you feel guilty if you don’t have the money to continually rent video games, take them to costly kid-friendly places, and shell out big bucks for full fare activities.
Even during the school year, it’s important to be able to get out of the house with the kids and do something that won’t break the bank. Season passes are great for this purpose. Many big cities offer the possibility to pay once and to enjoy full, year-round access to several attractions.
A great place to buy a season pass for is the zoo. A season pass to a zoo not only gets you in the door without paying again all year, but you usually get free parking, too.
And, once you hold a zoo membership, you also have access to extra exhibits. You might also enjoy the discounts on food and gift shop items a membership includes.
You might even consider buying a season pass to a local water park. Water parks are not cheap, and they cost on average $50 per person per visit. The season pass will probably cost you on average about $20 to $30 more, but you can visit over and over.
You will surely save on food, gifts and drinks, and you will experience the perks of having a membership.
Entertainment parks like Six Flags also offer season passes that are quite affordable. A season pass is the best way to have the most fun, and get the most of your money when it comes to these types of parks.
Just two visits to a park will cost you nearly as much as a membership, so even if you don’t live near, but are planning to go at least twice or more, it is worth going with the season pass.
You might want to consider season tickets for sporting events also. Your savings increase with the number of games you buy, and you have the benefit of not hearing your kids complain about always being home with nothing fun to do.
Season passes allow you to have fun with your family without spending a fortune. And in many cases, like with the zoo or an art museum, you’re contributing to the maintenance of the exhibits, too!
